As a courier on the Just Eat Network, we want to make sure you’re staying as safe as possible when out on the road. Whether you deliver using a bicycle, moped or a car, it’s important to keep your safety (and the food) in mind.

For the drivers:
- Check your vehicle and tires regularly.
- Cars are more likely to face issues and breakdowns in cold temperatures, so it’s best to service your car soon before we hit the winter months.
- Changing temperatures can also cause fluctuations in tire pressure, which affects the traction, handling and overall tire life. Check that your tires are properly inflated regularly, and look at your car manual for details if you’re unsure on how to do this.
Remember, preventing these issues is often much cheaper than having to repair them in the future, and you can make use of our Halfords discounts when servicing your car with Onsi.

For the riders:
- Check your vehicle is well-lit and always wear bright clothing.
- If you deliver on a bicycle or moped, it’s important to be seen on the road, so make sure your vehicle is well-lit and check your lights regularly.
- You should also wear bright, visible clothing such as a high visibility jacket, so you can be seen easily by everyone else on the road.
And before you head off to a delivery, remember that the food needs to be safe too. Always check that your thermal bag is fully closed and works properly, otherwise food will get cold very quickly. If you’re in need of a new one, click here.
