We’ve put together some top tips to help you navigate those pickups and minimise any potential delays.
Getting to the Restaurant or Grocery store
- Accessibility awareness: Before you even set off, take a moment to check if there are any special accessibility instructions for the restaurant. This could include details about entrances, parking, or specific areas for couriers. Being prepared helps save time and avoids any confusion on arrival.
- Ready to roll: Once you’re ready to start your journey, make sure to press ‘Ready to Drive’ in your app. This signals that you’re on your way.
- Straightforward travel: Make your way safely and directly to the restaurant. Avoid any unnecessary delays or detours that could impact the pick-up time.
At the Restaurant or Grocery store
- Parking and check-in: After safely parking your vehicle, remember to press ‘Parked at Restaurant’ in your app before heading inside. This is an important step that keeps everything organised and helps the restaurant know you’ve arrived.
- Arrival in the restaurant: Walk directly into the restaurant with your insulated bag in hand, and let the staff know you’re there to collect an order. A polite and professional approach goes a long way in building good relationships.
- Waiting for the order: If the order isn’t ready right away, that’s okay. Please stay in the vicinity of the restaurant until it’s prepared. This helps ensure the food stays at the right temperature and ready for delivery.
- Order confirmation and collection: Once the order is ready and the food is placed in your insulated bag, double-check everything. Make sure hot and cold items are separated to maintain their quality. Then, press “Collected” in your app to confirm you have the order.
- Quick departure: Head back to your vehicle without any unnecessary delays or detours. Getting on the road promptly helps keep the delivery process flowing smoothly.
