You’ve got the bag. Here’s how to use it so you stay safe and your cargo stays in great shape.

Loading the bag

When loading your Hot Food Bag it’s important to make sure it’s packed properly. If it is packed unevenly it can shift around and affect your ability to balance while riding.  If you find yourself delivering a large order, make sure to use the full functionality of your delivery bag by unzipping the bag to free up extra space. See an example below;

When you’re packing, place heavy items at the bottom of the bag and stack items up with the lightest items on top.

Always separate hot food from cold items where possible, so that food quality is not affected – customers should have the best possible ordering experience.

If you are using your bag as a backpack the straps should be firmly tightened so that there is no space between the bag and your back. If the straps are loose the weight of the load may shift and cause you to lose balance when turning.

If you are fixing it to your ebike, motorcycle or scooter make sure that it is firmly secured and does not shift.

Checking the weight

Before lifting a heavy backpack or bag we recommend that you:

  1. Think before you lift
  2. Keep the load close to your waist
  3. Adopt a stable position
  4. Ensure a good hold on the load
  5. Do not bend your back when lifting
  6. Do not twist when you lift
  7. Bend your knees
  8. Look ahead
  9. Know your limits
  • We recommend that as a bike courier you should proceed with caution if the bag weight exceeds 10% of your body weight
  • If you deem the weight of an order to be unsafe, please contact courier support
